Proton believes Exora will move Malaysians

PETALING JAYA, Feb 17 – As the global economic turmoil drags the big carmakers inexorably into a sea of red ink, Proton believes it has the solution to staying afloat – Exora, the company's first foray into the MPV market.

The national car company said today it will start selling in April the all-new new multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) priced below RM80,000. Bookings will be accepted from Feb 21.

The Exora is the company's first foray into the MPV market.

Proton has not released official pictures of the Exora but a fair idea of its appearance can be derived from camouflaged test units spotted around the Klang Valley.

At a ceremony to announce the name today, Proton managing director Datuk Syed Zainal Abdin Tahir said he believed that the MPV would fit into the company's aspiration to build the “right car for the right market at the right price”.

“Exora” was the winning entry in Proton's nationwide MPV naming contest which began in September last year. The month long contest attracted 251,763 entries.

“Exora is a flower that blooms in a bunch. That evokes the spirit of the MPV, which is togetherness. It demonstrates the MPV as a family vehicle and that is why we decided to pick the name,” explained Syed Zainal.

According to the company, the new design incorporates many of the best features available in a passenger car into the MPV.

Nature's version of Exora is a picture of togetherness.

The features are designed to meet the needs of a Malaysian family, said Syed Zainal.

The MPV can carry up to seven passengers and will be powered by the Campro 1.6 CPS engine.

Proton plans to produce 3,000 to 3,500 units of the vehicle each month from its plant in Shah Alam. The company has also invested about RM450 million in the development of the MPV.

Even though the Exora is currently intended for the local market, Proton plans to export the MPV is expected to be exported to Indonesia from July.

“For me, this kind of vehicle is a requirement for our market. Definitely the demand is there but the volume depends on pricing and demand,” the chairman of Proton, Datuk Mohd Nadzmi Mohd Salleh said.

The vehicle will come in five colours – Genetic silver, Tranquility Black, Blue Haze Pyrite Brown and Gaia Blue.

Malaysia:About Malaysia,Truly Asia

Multiculturalism has not only made Malaysia a gastronomical paradise, it has also made Malaysia home to hundreds of colourful festivals. It's no wonder that we love celebrating and socialising. As a people, Malaysians are very laid back, warm and friendly.

Geographically, Malaysia is as diverse as its culture. There are two parts to the country, 11 states in the peninsula of Malaysia and two states on the northern part of Borneo. Cool hideaways are found in the highlands that roll down to warm, sandy beaches and rich, humid mangroves.

One of Malaysia's key attractions is its extreme contrasts. Towering skyscrapers look down upon wooden houses built on stilts, and five-star hotels sit several metres away from ancient reefs.

For the perfect holiday full of surprises, eclectic cultures and natural wonders, the time is now, the place is Malaysia.(For information on interesting place to visit at Malaysia,Click HERE)

BlackBerry Bold 9000 smartphone

Research In Motion’s first 3G internet-capable BlackBerry has landed in our sweaty little palms after months of previews and slobbering-sessions, allowing us to get all intimate on its Bold little case.
With an all-new look to the operating system, it quite simply is a pleasure to use. The icons are now highly-stylised, and the extra processing power means it’s super-fast to flick through the various applications. Internally, the GPS has better map rendering than some of the other models we’ve seen before, and it’s a thrill to use with the super high-res screen, which measures 480 x 320. The screen has been placed very closely with the glass exterior, giving a very close picture and brighter, more luminous colours when watching video. See below video ..

YouTube videos work a treat, as the internet is super fast - in tests, it quite often eclipsed the iPhone 3G’s loading times. The addition of stereo speakers means you can pester those around you with extremely loud sound, whether that’s played from the MP3 player function, or video playback.
RIM claims the arrangement of the qwerty keypad has been inspired by a guitar fret, with four slim silver lines separating each row of keys, which have been finely sculptured. The now-standard trackball and two buttons on either side finish off the keypad.
Storage-wise, the internal memory of 1GB could really be improved, however the microSD card slot means you can whack in an extra 16GB, perhaps to store some of the photos and video you can take with the 2.0-megapixel camera, another slight downfall.
Still, the quality of the photos and video is acceptable, and the microphone seems able to pick up on a surprising amount of sound, listenable via the 3.5mm headphone jack or aforementioned stereo speakers.
An absolutely stunning piece of machinery, RIM’s new flagship title is bound to do well, with its ultra-premium good looks (did we mention the leatherette back? Phwroar!), and the operating system’s slick new layer. This will make any heavy emailer, texter or internet browser very happy indeed.

1. When a girl says she's sad, but she isn't crying, it means she's crying in her heart.
2. When she ignores you after you've done something wrong, it's best to give her some time to cool down before touching her heart with an apology.
3. A girl can't find anything to hate about the guy she loves (which
is why it is so hard for her to 'get over him' after the relationship's over.)
4. If a girl loves a guy, he will always be on her mind every minute of the day, even though she flirts with other guys.
5. When the guy she likes smiles and stares deep into her eyes, she
will melt.
6. A girl likes to hear compliments, but usually not sure how to react to them.
7. When a particular guy flirts with a girl very often, a girl would start thinking the guy likes her. So if you treat a girl just as a friend, go easy on the smiles and stare ok?
8. If you don't like a girl who likes you, break it to her gently.
9. If a girl starts avoiding you after you reject her, leave her alone for a while. If you still treat her as a friend, talk to her.
10. Girls enjoy talking about what they feel. Music, poetry, drawings and writing are ways of expressing themselves (which explains why most girls like writing journals).
11. Never tell a girl that she is useless in anyway.
12. Being too serious can turn a girl off.
13. When the guy she likes calls her for the first time, the girl may act look uninterested during the call. But as soon as the phone is back on the hook, she will whoop with joy and immediately start telephoning her friends to spread the news.
14. A smile means a lot to a girl.
15. If you like a girl, try making friends with her first. Let her get to know you.
16. If a girl says she can't go out with you because she has to study, leave.
17. But if she still calls you or expect a call from you, stay.
18. Don't try to guess a girl's feelings. Ask her.
19. Hearing the words "I love you" is a great reassurance to a girl that she is beautiful.
20. After a girl falls in love with a guy, she'll wonder why she never noticed him before.
21. When class pictures come out, a girl would first check who is standing next to her crush before actually looking at herself.
22. A girl's ex-crush will always be in her memory, but the guy she loves now stays in her heart.
23. Girls love having fun!
24. A simple 'Hi' can brighten a girl's day.
25. A girl's best friends usually know best what she is feeling and going through.
26. Girls hate it when a guy pays attention to them just to get close to their 'prettier' friend.
27. Love means devotion, caring and happiness to a girl, in that order.
28. Some girls care about looks, some care about brains, but ALL girls want a guy who will love and care for them.
29. Girls want nothing more than to feel loved.
30. Girls always hope that they can always remain as friend with their ex. But never know how...
